Get Ready for Halloween with a ...WRITING Contest!

WrittenWyrdd is sponsoring a writing contest. 1,000 words of horror (but not slasher stuff). A pile of green if you're the winner. Read details at the WrittenWyrdd blog.

Or you could try to win the $10,000 lottery at Gena Showalter's site, promoting the book INTERTWINED. That seems like a lot of money to give away to promote a YA book.

I got trapped in a karaoke bar last night because of my pool league. It seemed like the beginning of a horror story-- I was also thinking the package of alcohol, rude waitresses and truly horrendous warbling might work on jihadists better than anything the CIA has tried.

Are y'all all right? You must have felt the earthquake, if they felt it in Japan. Did you have flooding there because of the waves?

Ken, you are too funny!

Samatakah, we didn't feel any earthquake, no particularly big waves here. We've been lucky so far-storms, earthquakes, tsunamis passing around us and in the region but so far, just some long grey days (which is very unusual here, so I should complain...)

;-)
